Dr. Shawn Yakimovich ND has been in clinical practice since 2006. He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, with a BSc in Human Nutrition, and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Shawn is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and holds a certificate of registration with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Now in his 15th year of practice, Shawn confidently blends all of the naturopathic treatment tools, including nutrition, lifestyle counselling, herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine, acupuncture, and hydrotherapy.
His practice is very general and involves a combination of nutritional guidance, herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine and acupuncture to treat many everyday conditions. For the past five years, he has worked at a local rehabilitation centre for people recovering from addictions. He lives and works in the small town of Kemptville, Ontario.

Dr. Yakimovich's ancestors immigrated to Canada from L'viv and Ternopil Oblasts in the 1920s, and settled in small farming communities east of Edmonton, Alberta.

In his spare time, Dr. Yakimovich is an avid gardener, and grows over 50 medicinal plants in his home garden. He also plays the violin. He is currently learning Ukrainian, with the hope that someday he will be able to share his medicine in Ukraine, to help people recover from the physical and emotional consequences of the war.
